Direct Flooring Completes East Brunswick Library – On Time and On Budget. The existing flooring within the East Brunswick Public Library consisted of a dated and costly parquet flooring. Once the director made the decision to replace it the wheels were set into motion. Direct Flooring was tasked with the removal and replacement of the flooring throughout the space, including: the main adult area and meeting rooms, café, makers space, children’s room and DVD room.
Working with Soyka-Smith Designs in Madison, NJ, Direct Flooring’s first step was to evaluate the space. Then a magnificent 3-D rendering was created for the director of the library to review and approve. The plan was to re-arrange the library in a way to allow the crews to complete the removal of the existing floors, prepare the floor for installation and install the new floor in a lightning quick one-week timeline.
Direct Flooring coordinated the breakdown of the space including the protection of the books from the construction dust. The library renovation included many trades and careful attention to detail. It is our belief that quality is shaped at the beginning of our flooring jobs.
